For the first time in five (5) years, ISO has made numerous changes to its commercial property policy forms and endorsements. Most policy forms are being revised and many endorsements are being added, revised, or withdrawn. Over forty (40) individual changes are being made, along with considerable editorial and minor miscellaneous changes. The purpose of this webinar is to provide an overview of the major changes.
A sampling of policy form changes:

The earth movement exclusion is now more restrictive.
-
Debris removal coverage now applies to property of others and the sublimit is increased.
-
Business personal property is now covered in structures other than buildings.
-
The business income form’s built-in 30-day extended period of indemnity is being changed.
-
Coverage for business personal property within 100 feet of described premises is being revised.
-
There is a HUGE change in the entrusted property exclusion.
A sampling of the endorsement changes:

A new endorsement excludes damage caused by premises production or processing operations, ranging from grease from restaurant cooking operations to the residue produced by meth labs.

A new endorsement extends coverage to specified property (e.g., a laptop computer) away from premises.

The off-premises utility services endorsements are being revised to clarify the meaning of “transmission lines.”

Equipment breakdown coverage can now be added to the property policy via an optional endorsement…BIG deal.

A new endorsement allows deductibles (of varying sizes) on a per-location basis.
